Overview

The Template Builder is a flexible tool designed to help you create customized reports that focus on the visuals and insights most relevant to your stakeholders. With an intuitive WYSIWYG-like (What You See Is What You Get) interface, the builder allows you to assemble, organize, and personalize your report in just a few steps.

Whether you need pre-made sections or custom visualizations, the Template Builder empowers you to showcase key metrics, trends, and insights efficiently.


How to Use the Template Builder

Step 1: Access the Template  Builder

  1. Navigate to the Reports section in the platform.
  2. Click Create Report to open the Report Builder interface.

Step 2: Add Report Blocks

  1. Choose a Block:
    • Select pre-made sections or chart blocks from the block library.
    • Drag and drop the block onto your report page.
  2. Configure Chart Blocks:
    • Bar chart and Line chart (more visuals will be added)
    • Set dimensions and measures.

Step 3: Organize the Report

  • Rearrange blocks by dragging them into the desired order.
  • Add custom titles to blocks for better understanding.
  • Decide if a block should appear in the table of contents.

Step 4: Save template

  • Once satisfied, click Save Report.
  • Choose to save your layout as a reusable template.
  • Saved templates can also be edited and saved again.

Step 5: Use Templates for Scheduled Reports

  • Select your saved template during the scheduling process to generate reports according to your custom template.

Tips for Success

  • Choose your target audience: Will you report on your organization level? or will you report per client (segmented). Depending on who your audience is, some insights might be more or less relevant.
  • Start with Key Insights: Place the most critical information at the top of your report for immediate visibility.
  • Use Consistent Titles: Ensure block titles are clear and descriptive to guide your stakeholders through the report.
  • Experiment with Dimensions and Measures: Explore different data configurations to uncover valuable insights.
  • Review Before Saving: Preview your report layout with sample data to ensure it meets your expectations.
