GLEC 3.1 change summary

The following changes have been introduced:

• Introduced 3.1 framework version in logistics profile
• When selected, only factors 3.1 factors will be used, regardless of shipment date
• Adjusted emission factors for fuels and intensity factors
  • Added new marine fuel variants based on IMO source data
    • Note: values can only be expressed in KG. No conversion factors for liters have been provided.

• Added latest 2023 CCWG tradelanes
• For train, GLEC introduced an uplift of 12% for temperature controlled goods in GLEC 3.1. Users can indicate this via the temperature controlled column. By default we set is_temperature_controlled to False if it is not provided.
• Adjusted Cargo types
  • Bulk and general cargo -> Average/mixed
    • Renamed to be consistent with GLEC. Bulk and general cargo is not available anymore via the logistics profile.
  • Introduces light & heavy for certain vehicle types
• Renamed vehicle types in line with 3.1:

• Bio/HVO Diesel blends
